Terms & Conditions

AVAILABILITY

All rooms and rates are subject to availability and the discretion of management. When an enquiry is made the rooms are not held nor reserved until a full booking is made with debit or credit card to secure the booking. 

BOOKINGS

Reservations are subject to debit or credit card guarantee and individual rate T&C’s.

Check in is from 3pm onwards and checkout at 11am. Late checkout can be requested for £15 per every started hour and it’s subject to availability and hotel discretion.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

The House housekeeping team will always make every effort to ensure that rooms are ready by 3pm, however there may be occasions when rooms may not be ready, in which case guests are welcome to check in at the desk and use any areas of the hotel including the bar and dining room. Rooms must not be departed any later than 11am, we remain the right to charge for any check outs after 11.00am unless agreed otherwise with the manager.

PRICES

All prices are inclusive of VAT. Prices may alter to reflect changes to VAT and taxes. The House Hotel retains the right to charge people the prices of rooms up to 12 weeks prior to arrival.

PAYMENT

At the time of booking or 2 days prior the arrival, depending on type of room rate selected, T&C’s apply. We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as cash. 

Upon check out all outstanding charges must be paid for in full. 
Please note: The card that is booked with, will be charged with the final bill unless specified otherwise at check out.

DEPOSIT POLICY

Deposit policy varies based on rate selection. Advance Saver rates and any promotional offers require payment at the time of booking, Flexi rates are chargeable 48 hours prior to the arrival.

CANCELLATIONS AND NON-ARRIVALS POLICY

Please note, these terms and conditions are generic and you should refer to your confirmation email for the exact terms that apply to your booking. 

ADVANCE RATE / NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKINGS

Advance rate bookings require full payment upon booking and are completely non-refundable.

FLEXIBLE RATE BOOKINGS

Flexible rate bookings require a debit or a credit card upon booking and can be  cancelled or modified for free by 3pm 48 hours prior to the arrival. Payment for the reservation will be taken 2 days before arrival, any cancellation after this date will be non-refundable in all cases. 

SPECIAL CONDTIONS

Please note we cannot be liable for bad weather or other conditions leading to you being unable to stay on your booking date. We advise all customers to take out travel insurance to cover these instances. Thank you for your understanding.

GROUP BOOKINGS

Any booking for more than 4 rooms are counted as a group booking and have a 14 day cancellation policy under a Flexible booking, should any rooms from the group be cancelled within this time the full amount of the booking will be charged to the card. Non-refundable rate terms remain the same for group bookings.

Any stays shortened or departing earlier than what was booked for will be chargeable, this will be charged at 100% of the nights cancelled. 

WE ONLY ACCEPT CANCELLATIONS VIA EMAIL OR POST.

PARKING

The hotel does not offer private parking. Public Pay & Display is available in a short vicinity of the hotel. The hotel takes no responsibility for vehicles parked.

SMOKING

The House Hotel is a non-smoking hotel and does not permit smoking in any areas of the hotel (including guest bedrooms, corridors, balconies and fire exits) apart from at the front of the building by reception. All cigarette waste MUST be put into the bin provided at the front of the building. Should any guests be caught smoking on the premises, they will be liable for £200 cleaning fee and may be evicted from the premises.

PETS

We accept small dogs no more than 15kg in some of our hotel rooms. There is a £30 charge per stay.

EXTRA BEDS

Extra rollaway beds are available at £45 per night. We are delighted to provide cots for children up to two years of age with our compliments.

LIFT

Only our accessible room on lower ground-floor has a lift. Our rooms are located on three floors, accessible ONLY by stairs. Please contact the hotel direct for more information.

DAMAGE

We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit/debit card for any damages incurred to your room or the Hotel during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave. This includes damage or staining to any of our linen or soft furnishings.

We also reserve the right to judge acceptable levels of noise and suitable behaviour of guests. If no reasonable action is taken by the guest when asked to do so The House may terminate the booking at anytime without being liable for a refund or compensation.

When you check in to the hotel at reception you will be asked to sign a reservation card, by signing that card you are agreeing to all of the above terms and conditions.
