The design approach
The website balances the atmosphere of a Georgian seaside hotel with the practical details of a visit. Gold accents, Cormorant Garamond headings and small Inter labels create a consistent visual language. A film-led homepage introduces the house; room photography, dining menus and event information help visitors decide what to do next.
Rooms & reservations
From a first look
to a place to stay.
The rooms page brings six categories into one browsing journey, from Cosy Queen Rooms to The Suite. Each has its own images and practical information, so guests can compare the spaces before booking.

Room-by-room detail
Image sliders sit alongside bed arrangements, room size, occupancy, views and amenities. Parking and stair-access information appear before the room listings.
A clear booking route
The floating Book Now control and individual Book This Room links lead to the hotel’s eviivo booking service, where guests can check availability and make their reservation.
Reasons to book directly
An expandable Book Direct Benefits section keeps the advantages close to the booking journey without overwhelming the room information.
Restaurant & afternoon tea
A dining experience
with its own entrance.
Restaurant visitors need a direct route to menus, service times and table reservations. The dining page brings these together alongside photography of the food and the hotel’s setting.

Weddings & private events
Inspiration first.
A useful conversation next.
The events page connects venue and food information with a photography gallery, a downloadable wedding brochure and a dedicated enquiry form. Section links take visitors straight to the gallery or the events team.

Inside the enquiry form
Details the events team can work with.
- The occasion
- Event type, preferred date and ceremony or event time.
- The scale
- Guest numbers and event duration.
- The conversation
- Name, email, phone number and space to describe the plans.
Collecting these details gives the team context for their reply. Event-specific FAQs answer common questions before an enquiry is sent.

More than
the first impression.
The build also brings together the smaller journeys that help people plan a visit, stay in touch and return to the hotel.
Navigation that leaves room for the house
A compact menu opens into a side panel with routes to rooms, dining, offers, local attractions and the hotel’s history. The floating booking control keeps reservations within reach as visitors browse.
Offers, gifts & staying in touch
Dedicated offers and What’s On pages give seasonal stays and events their own space. The gift voucher page includes an embedded voucher service, while newsletter forms provide an email sign-up route.
Practical information before arrival
The Find Us page combines travel guidance, map links, direct contact details and an enquiry form. Separate FAQ and accessibility pages make important visit information easier to find.
A WordPress foundation
The site combines a custom WordPress theme with Kadence content blocks for galleries, expandable answers and forms. Responsive layouts adapt the content for smaller screens, while shared navigation and footer elements connect the pages.
