The development of Ramsgate as a harbour started back in the 18th century, inspired by the growing need for safe places for ships to dock while sailing through the busy English Channel. Building the harbour began in 1749, and it wasn’t until 1792 that Ramsgate truly started to take its current impressive form, becoming the wonderful port we admire today.

They are delighted to be the first museum in Kent devoted to vintage home computers, game consoles, and related technology.
